Today, the National Assembly voted to pass several draft laws.
According to the agenda of the first extraordinary session of the 16th National Assembly, on August 23, the National Assembly continued its work in the assembly hall to vote on and approve several draft laws.

In the morning, the National Assembly held a plenary session in the assembly hall and voted to approve three draft laws: the Law on Petroleum (amended); the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Customs; and the Law on Dissemination and Education of Law (amended).
Subsequently, the National Assembly discussed two draft laws in the plenary session: the amended Penal Code; and the National Assembly Resolution on mechanisms and policies applicable to the relocation of historical relics within the scope of the investment project to build a road connecting Gia Binh International Airport with Hanoi, the section passing through Bac Ninh province, and the project to build a barracks for the People's Public Security Air Force Regiment.
In the afternoon, the National Assembly held a plenary session in the assembly hall and voted to approve three draft laws: the Law on Prevention and Control of the Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction; the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of nine laws on military and national defense; and the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on State Liability for Compensation.
After that, the National Assembly discussed the draft Criminal Procedure Code (amended) in the plenary session.
