On the fourth working day of the second session (October 24th), the National Assembly will consider the draft Law on Auctioning Assets and the draft Law on Beliefs and Religions.

According to the work program, this morning, Vu Hong Thanh, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic Committee, will present the report explaining, receiving feedback, and revising the draft Law on Auctioning Assets.

The draft Law on Auctioning Assets was discussed at the 10th session of the 13th National Assembly.

After receiving feedback and making revisions, the draft Law submitted to the National Assembly for approval at this session consists of 8 chapters and 79 articles. Some issues still require further consultation with the National Assembly, including: the scope of application, the subjects of application, the types of assets required to be sold through auction, the auction of bad debts and collateral for bad debts, auctioneers, the national socio-professional organization of auctioneers, asset auction businesses, asset auction service centers, auction forms and methods, handling violations, canceling auction results and compensation for damages, auction service fees, and other issues...

Next, the National Assembly proceeded to discuss in the plenary session some of the remaining points of disagreement in this draft law.

The National Assembly will hear Minister of Justice Le Thanh Long explain the opinions of National Assembly deputies on the draft Law on Auctioning Assets.

In the afternoon, Phan Thanh Bình, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture, Education, Youth, and Children, presented the report explaining, receiving feedback, and revising the draft Law on Beliefs and Religions.

The draft Law on Beliefs and Religions was discussed and commented on at the 10th session (13th National Assembly). After incorporating feedback and making revisions, the draft Law submitted to the 14th National Assembly for approval at this session consists of 9 chapters and 69 articles, regulating the right to freedom of belief and religion; belief and religious activities; religious organizations; and the rights and obligations of organizations and individuals related to belief and religious activities.

Some issues that continue to be submitted to the National Assembly for consideration include: the right to freedom of belief and religion for all people; the field of belief; recognition of religious organizations; legal status of religious organizations; social activities of religious organizations, religious activities with foreign elements; state management in the field of belief and religion, and prohibited acts.

Subsequently, the National Assembly discussed in the plenary session several points of disagreement regarding the draft Law on Beliefs and Religions.
