This is the third time the Yunarmy has participated in the Victory Parade. Yunarmy is a movement that originated in the Soviet Union and was only revived by President Putin in 2015. Minister Shoigu then stated that Yunarmy is not a regular armed force. |

At the head of the parade was General Salyukov's car, followed by the cadets of the Moscow Military Music Academy and the flag troop.

The Russian President, guests and armed forces observed a minute of silence for those who died in the fight against fascism, accompanied by a clapping of the hands in memory of the victims of the Great Patriotic War.
During the siege of Leningrad, now Saint Petersburg, the tap was used when the radio was not playing music, to show the people that their fighting spirit against the Germans was not broken.
President Putin speaks
The Russian President delivered a speech before the parade, praising the Great Patriotic War and the blood sacrifices that the Soviet people made to fight fascism.
He declared a minute of silence for those who fell in the Great Patriotic War. The wooden gavel sounded, symbolizing the moment of silence.

After reviewing the formation of the Russian armed forces, Minister Shoigu reported the results to President Putin. "Reporting to Comrade Commander-in-Chief, the troops in Moscow are ready for the parade. I, Minister of Defense, General Sergei Shoigu, am supervising."

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu reviewed the formation of the Russian armed forces and congratulated soldiers on the 74th anniversary of Victory Day over Nazi Germany.
“Hello, comrades!” Mr. Shoigu said as he approached each parade block. “Hello, Comrade Defense Minister,” the troops responded.
“Congratulations to you, comrades, on the 74th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War!”, Mr. Shoigu said. “Ura,” thousands of Russian soldiers shouted in unison.

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu entered the parade in a car with the license plate 0001.MO77. He inspected the parade and received a report from the parade commander, Russian Army Commander-in-Chief Oleg Salyukov.
Russian Ground Forces Commander Oleg Salyukov, who commanded the parade, stands on the Russian-developed Aurus Senat. This is the first time the Aurus Senat has been used in Russia's Victory Parade.

At exactly 10:00 Moscow time (14:00 Hanoi time), the clock bell on Red Square rang, signaling the start of the parade marking the 74th anniversary of the victory over fascism.
The parade began with the procession carrying the flag of the Russian Federation, the Victory Banner, across Red Square to the music of "The Sacred War". These were soldiers of the 154th Independent Guards Regiment "Preobrazensky".
