On the afternoon of July 15, Huong Tra Town Police (Thua Thien-Hue Province) announced that they had just dismantled a gambling den in the form of football betting, arresting 23 subjects, seizing many exhibits, vehicles and a large amount of cash.
Previously, at 9:40 p.m. on July 14, Nguyen Huu Nguyen (33 years old, residing in Van Cu village, Huong Toan commune, Huong Tra town) organized 22 other people to gamble on football matches in the World Cup at his private home.

While the subjects were gambling, the police force raided and caught them red-handed. At the time of the arrest, the police force discovered and temporarily seized many exhibits and vehicles related to gambling, including: 1 laptop and wifi transmitter; 20 mobile phones of various types, 20 motorbikes and over 120 million VND.
Currently, Huong Tra Town Police are continuing to investigate and handle the case according to the provisions of law.
