Every day, more than 200 people die from cancer in Vietnam. One-third of cancer patients are in the 25-49 age group. Gastrointestinal cancers account for the highest percentage.

According to statistics from the Ministry of Health, currently, Vietnam has approximately 150,000 new cancer cases and over 75,000 deaths from cancer each year.
The above figures show that, in reality, more than 200 people die from cancer every day in Vietnam. Cancer is truly becoming a terrible problem in our country.
Analysis of patient data shows that more than one-third of cancer patients in our country are in the 25-49 age group, the age group with the most robust health.
Surprisingly, the number of male patients with cancer and those dying from cancer is higher than any other group. The number of male cancer patients in Vietnam is increasing. The cancer incidence rate among Vietnamese men ranks third, with approximately 135-180 cases per 100,000 population. Correspondingly, the mortality rate for men with cancer is also high, at 142 deaths per 100,000 population.
According to newly released data, among the surveyed cancer patients, the five most common types of cancer in both men and women in our country are gastrointestinal cancer (over 22%), breast cancer (over 20%), gynecological cancer (nearly 15%), head and neck cancer (nearly 11%), and bronchial and lung cancer (nearly 9%).
