These young people are educated, trained in formal and disciplined practices, possess good moral character, and are quick-witted, capable of meeting the requirements of agencies, units, and businesses both domestically and internationally. Therefore, providing timely advice, training, and job placement for demobilized youth will make a positive contribution to a high-quality workforce, thus contributing to the socio-economic development of the country.

Over the years, the Party and the State have issued many guidelines, policies, and laws to care for and ensure the material and spiritual well-being of demobilized soldiers.

As a socio-political organization dedicated to caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of young people, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has implemented programs to support youth and directed Youth Unions at all levels to carry out numerous activities to provide career counseling and job placement services for young people, especially demobilized soldiers and those nearing completion of their military service. Provincial and city Youth Unions regularly coordinate with the labor sector to organize "Job Fairs" and "Job Day" events for young people.

At the same time, coordinate with businesses, industrial parks, and export processing zones in the area to organize job placement and introduction for young people, focusing on career counseling, guidance, and job placement activities specifically for young people who are about to complete their military service.

However, despite the achievements, there are still some shortcomings and obstacles regarding career counseling, guidance, and job placement for young people who are about to complete their military service, such as: the low rate of vocational training support, limited utilization of vocational training cards; and the management, monitoring, support, and job placement for young people after demobilization in some localities have not received adequate attention.

The event is an opportunity to listen to the thoughts, aspirations, suggestions, and proposals of young people preparing to leave the military, so that further research, attention, and proposals can be made for policies and measures to create positive and groundbreaking changes in career counseling, vocational education, and job placement for young people who have completed their military service.
