Of these, 20 hectares were heavily infected, mainly concentrated in the communes of Nhan Thanh, Phu Thanh, Khanh Thanh... In addition, some rice areas were also infected with small leaf rollers; 36 hectares were slightly poisoned by organic matter because the soil was not prepared properly before planting.
Faced with the above situation, the district's agricultural sector has directed the agricultural committees of communes and towns to regularly visit fields, monitor fields, promptly detect harmful pests and diseases to take timely preventive measures.
For areas infected with brown planthoppers and white-backed planthoppers, people are advised to spray specific pesticides according to the "4 rights" principle, not allowing them to spread widely. In fields infected with organic poisoning, the water must be drained to plow and stir the mud, and after changing the water, 10-15 kg of phosphate per sao should be added to help the rice grow stably.
