More than 800 Thanh Chuong residents participate in voluntary blood donation

On the morning of April 26, the Thanh Chuong District Voluntary Blood Donation Steering Committee coordinated with Nghe An Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center to organize the first Voluntary Blood Donation Festival for Community Health in 2018 with the participation of over 800 volunteers.

Thanks to good propaganda and mobilization work and the attention of Party committees and authorities at all levels, voluntary blood donation in recent times in Thanh Chuong district has received enthusiastic response from officials and people.

Since 2011, the voluntary blood donation movement in Thanh Chuong has attracted nearly 7,000 volunteers to participate, the amount of blood collected always exceeds the assigned target. In addition, the district has also established a live blood bank with over 30 volunteers at the General Hospital and youth union members of agencies and units.
