Marriage is like a movie, according to the director who recently left VTV after 25 years of dedication.

After 25 years of dedication, director Khai Anh, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Television Film Center (VFC) under VTV, has announced his resignation from the unit.

Khải Anh was born in 1982 in Hanoi, the son of People's Artist Khải Hưng - one of the pioneers of Vietnamese television. In over two decades of his career, Khải Anh has left a strong mark with many outstanding television works broadcast on VTV.

Besides his career, Khai Anh is also admired for his marriage to MC Dan Le. However, to achieve the blissful love they have now, the couple has gone through many ups and downs.

A love affair from high school.

During her time as a student at Thang Long High School, Dan Le had a puppy love relationship with her classmate Khai Anh. At the time, Dan Le was one year younger than Khai Anh. She first met him in the school's performing arts group when she was 16, and they became friends before eventually falling in love. They started dating in 11th grade and stayed together for six years before Khai Anh left to study abroad.

When he was just 21 years old, Khai Anh asked his family for permission to marry Dan Le, but his father, director Khai Hung, refused. At that time, director Khai Hung believed that both were too young, one 21 and the other only 22. He felt they were not suitable and did not believe in the longevity of this marriage.

For that reason, the two broke up before Khai Anh went abroad to study. Their youthful romance ended abruptly; one went on to be busy with life as a student abroad, while the other stayed behind to pursue a career as a television presenter.

"Go around in a circle" and then come back together.

In October 2008, MC Dan Le married TV presenter Xuan Tung, her colleague at VTV. However, this marriage only lasted two years. For viewers, the news of their marriage and divorce came as a surprise.

The former "weather girl" also revealed that when she decided to get married, Khai Anh had already returned to Vietnam, but he couldn't do anything else because Dan Le thought very carefully about everything in her life.

Not long after her divorce, Dan Le rekindled her romance with Khai Anh. In 2011, they held a wedding ceremony with the blessings of family and friends.

At the wedding, director Khai Hung shared about his initial disagreement with his children's relationship 10 years ago:"At that time, Khai Anh was just over 20 years old. I asked him, 'What have you prepared for the wedding?' Khai Anh couldn't answer. I never imagined that my words at that time would cause the ship of their happiness to sail in two different directions, through many clashes and storms."

One fine day, Khai Anh announced that he had gotten back together with Dan Le, just as the old saying goes: "Old flames never die."

On their wedding anniversary, director Khai Anh once shared a touching message with his wife:"I remember back then, when you were a 21-year-old girl and I was a reckless 22-year-old boy, I let our chance slip away because of my carefree, carefree teenage years, lacking maturity and experience."

Time passed… That year, when you were amidst chaos and heartbreak, I knew it was time for us to continue writing our unfinished story together. Amidst the gossip, the rumors, the misunderstandings of the world, I only knew that I had to be your steadfast support, your pillar of strength so you could believe in love once again.Thank you for being brave enough to move forward with me, for once again opening your heart and giving love a chance."

Dan Le once described her relationship with Khai Anh as like a movie because it's not a common occurrence:"Two people who went their separate ways eventually had the chance to meet again and start over."

Their marriage became even more complete with the births of their two sons, Khai Minh and Khai Nguyen, in 2011 and 2014, respectively. After more than a decade together, the couple lives happily and harmoniously, raising their children together. Every year on their wedding anniversary, February 14th, they celebrate in a special place.

Dan Le described her second marriage as "the right person, at the right time." She expressed:"No one knows what tomorrow will bring, we can only believe in good things. At that time, I believed in Khai Anh. Khai Anh patiently overcame all the mistakes he had made in the past and convinced me that he was completely deserving."

Over the years, both Khai Anh and Dan Le have been busy with artistic projects, but they always make time for their family. After 25 years together, including dating and marriage, the couple still maintains their sweet relationship. They travel the world together and frequently express their affection for each other on social media.

Since becoming a wife and mother, Dan Le has stepped back to support her husband, allowing him to focus on his directing work at VFC. She works as an MC at a television station and occasionally takes on small roles in films directed by her husband. In addition, she runs her own company providing services for mothers and babies.
