This sporty two-door model features a more spacious interior and a new 1.5-liter turbocharged engine option.

Like the sedan version, the 2016 Civic Coupe features a distinctive "face-shaped" design, a characteristic Honda design element also used on the CR-V and City. The grille is almost hidden, replaced by a large chrome horizontal bar that is only partially visible at the bottom of the front bumper. New automatic headlights incorporate LED daytime running lights. The LED taillights are C-shaped.

Inside, Honda has increased the interior space of the 2016 Civic Coupe by 237 liters, and rear legroom by 127 mm. A large TFT screen with dual gauges is featured in the instrument cluster. At the center is a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, developed from Android and supporting both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.

The new generation of the Civic Coupe starts with the LX trim and goes up to the top-of-the-line Touring model. Other optional premium features include LED headlights, remote engine start, heated front seats, heated mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, and dual-zone automatic climate control.

Similar to its 2016 Civic sedan sibling, the Honda Civic Coupe offers two engine options. The first is a 2-liter i-VTEC four-cylinder gasoline engine producing 158 horsepower and 187 Nm of torque. The second is a more powerful 1.5-liter turbocharged, direct-injection engine, a first for the Civic Coupe, delivering 174 horsepower and 219 Nm of torque.

The 2016 Honda Civic Coupe will officially debut at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show (LAAS), an event taking place in the US starting November 20th.
