Honda CR-V will soon have a special edition in Vietnam.

Based on version 2.4, the CR-V specifically for the Vietnamese market will have additional features in terms of performance and safety technology.

Honda Vietnam announced that it is preparing to introduce a special edition of its compact crossover, the CR-V, to Vietnamese customers, offering additional convenience options for both the driver and passengers.

The special edition will be based on the CR-V 2.4 currently sold in Vietnam. The design remains unchanged, but it will likely include additional features such as...Curtain airbags, rain-sensing wipers, and sporty manual shift paddles. Honda has not yet confirmed this information or the price of the new version.

The current CR-V is available in Vietnam.

The CR-V in Vietnam has two engine options: 2.0 and 2.4. The 2.4 version uses an engine.The inline 4-cylinder, DOHC engine with integrated i-VTEC produces 188 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 222 Nm at 4,400 rpm.

The fourth-generation Honda CR-V, launched in Vietnam in 2013, sparked much controversy due to its drastic changes compared to its predecessor. From a design only suitable for middle-aged people, the crossover became unusually youthful.

There was much discussion about the rear design of the CR-V; some liked it, some didn't, but the CR-V still surpassed the Civic to become the Japanese automaker's flagship product in the Vietnamese market from then until now. In 2015, Honda sold 4,533 vehicles to Vietnamese customers. The Honda CR-V is also the best-selling SUV in the US as well as the global market.

The CR-V appeals to younger customers thanks to its youthful design, sporty driving feel, and numerous technological features that few competitors can match. However, the new design has also caused the crossover to lose its middle-aged customer base compared to before, and its masculine appearance means that female buyers only account for 23%. While the A-pillar design has been improved, it still creates many blind spots for the driver, and the undercarriage noise remains – two of Honda's "specialties."

The current 2.0 and 2.4 versions of the CR-V in Vietnam are priced at 1.008 billion and 1.158 billion VND respectively. The CR-V competes in a rapidly growing segment, which includes rivals such as the Mazda CX-5, Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tucson, and Chevrolet Captiva.
