An upgraded version of the compact MPV has been launched in Indonesia, aiming to capture market share from models like the Innova and Ertiga.

Indonesia was chosen by Honda to introduce the 2017 Mobilio first, coinciding with the launch of the 2017 City in Thailand. Indonesia is a market that favors MPVs, so the focus on the Mobilio is understandable.

The overall design of the Mobilio remains unchanged, but the front end now has a new look: the grille features a fuller chrome trim and connects seamlessly with the headlights. This creates a more consistent image with Honda's contemporary models, similar to how the 2017 City draws inspiration from the Civic or the new generation CR-V.

Inside, the cabin features new amenities: individually adjustable backrests and headrests in all three rows, power windows, power mirrors, a 6.8-inch screen, new wheels, fog lights, and an upgraded sound system with 6 speakers and Bluetooth connectivity in the top-of-the-line RS version.

Standard safety features on the 2017 Mobilio include anti-lock braking system (ABS) and electronic brake force distribution (EBD). The RS sport version also includes vehicle stability control (VSC) and hill-start assist.

The 2017 Mobilio still uses the same 1.5L, 4-cylinder gasoline engine with a maximum power of 118 horsepower and a maximum torque of 145 Nm as the previous generation. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual or a CVT.

Due to improvements, the 2017 Mobilio in Indonesia has seen a slight price increase compared to its predecessor. The starting price is 189.5 million rupiah (approximately 319 million VND) for the lowest-spec S manual transmission version, and goes up to 243.5 million rupiah (approximately 410 million VND) for the RS CVT version. Additionally, the 2017 Mobilio also offers an E version with adequate features at a lower price than the RS.
