Honda Vario 150 - a practical scooter for Vietnamese people.

This privately imported two-wheeled vehicle from Indonesia offers a comfortable and smooth ride in the city, and has a spacious storage compartment.

The Vario is also known as the Honda Click in Thailand. In the Indonesian market, the Honda Vario is sold in two versions, 125cc and 150cc, while in Thailand only the 125i version is available.

According to the Astra-Honda joint venture, the Vario competes with the Yamaha Soul GT in Indonesia. Both target young, gender-neutral customers, primarily for urban commuting. However, the Vario's overly aggressive lines and multi-spoke 14-inch wheels are unlikely to appeal to female customers in Vietnam, who largely prioritize fashion and practicality.

The Vario is 1,921 mm long, 683 mm wide, and 1,096 mm high. Compared to the Air Blade in Vietnam, the Vario is 40 mm longer and 15 mm lower. The Vario has an extended wheelbase of 1,280 mm, ground clearance of 135 mm, and weighs 109 kg. The fuel tank capacity is 5.5 liters.

"What a strange-looking bike!" or "Is that a new Air Blade?" are questions asked by curious people when traveling on the streets of Hanoi. The Vario 150 offers a comfortable riding position, a handlebar width that's just right, a wide footrest, and doesn't cause fatigue or numbness in the hands even after sitting for a long time.

The bike easily escapes crowds or overtakes other vehicles with just a twist of the throttle. It accelerates well thanks to its 150cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine, producing 12.4 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 12.8 Nm at 5,000 rpm.

The Vario's engine incorporates an Idling Stop feature, which automatically shuts off the engine when stopped for more than 3 seconds. The top speed is 102 km/h, according to the manufacturer's test results.

User-friendly features include an 18-liter under-seat storage compartment that can fit a 3/4 helmet, a front storage compartment, and an integrated keyless entry system with a locator button on the main key. Safety features include an electric side stand and a parking brake lock. It has a single disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear, integrated with a CBS combined braking system.

The Honda Vario 150, privately imported from Indonesia to Vietnam, is priced at under 60 million VND at some stores on Ba Trieu Street, Hanoi, and is available in four colors. Meanwhile, the Honda Click 125i, imported from Thailand, costs 59 million VND. This price point presents a challenge for the Vario, as it's not officially imported and is significantly higher than the Air Blade, almost reaching the price segment of the SH.
