'Hot boy' from Nghe An wins first prize in the Perfect Version category.
(Baonghean.vn) - Dao Ngoc Sang, a young man from Tan Ky (Nghe An province), just won first prize in episode 13 of the "Perfect Version" program by covering Son Tung M-TP's hit song "Lac Troi".

Through two rounds of performance and shining in episode 13 of the "Perfect Version" program on HTV7, Dao Ngoc Sang achieved a spectacular victory over the other contestants and won first prize with 50 million VND.
In the Performance round, Dao Ngoc Sang covered the song "Lac Troi" by male singer Son Tung M-TP in a pop style, surprising the judges with one unexpected moment after another.

In the first part of his performance, Dao Ngoc Sang sang along to the song "Mouse Wedding" to "deceive" the judges' ears. He then switched to pop music, and in the middle of the performance, Dao Ngoc Sang subtly added a short folk-inspired line.
The appearance of Dao Ngoc Sang in this episode delighted singer My Tam, who is on the show's judging panel, as she recognized Sang as her former student.

My Tam showered Sang with praise. Meanwhile, the show's MC, actor Dai Nghia, also commented that Sang acted very deeply and immersed himself in the performance while singing.
Speaking to Nghe An Newspaper, Ngoc Sang said: “Standing on this stage, singing for you, that is the gift I want to give to you - My Tam. Because I know My Tam is a judge on this program. I am very happy and delighted to meet My Tam, Quang Dung, and Trung Quan again.”
The success of the song "Lac Troi" helped Dao Ngoc Sang advance to the Spotlight round. In the Spotlight round, the challenge was to cover Trung Quan Idol's song "Dau Mua," which was very difficult, but Sang skillfully and intelligently covered the song in the EDM genre.

Dao Ngoc Sang (born in 1996, Tan Ky town, Tan Ky district, Nghe An province) is currently a student at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. Sang is a young singer who rose to prominence after participating in The Voice Vietnam 2015.
With his handsome looks and sweet, expressive voice, Ngoc Sang has won the hearts of many viewers. He was once dubbed "Hot boy from Nghe An" by MC Phan Anh and is one of the four favorite students of My Tam's team.
Dao Ngoc Sang is actively investing in his passion for music so that he can grow and mature further on the path he has chosen.
The Perfect Version is a platform for re-enacting popular songs (covers) in the international format called Cover Star. More than just a competition showcasing good singing voices, The Perfect Version is also a challenging contest for musical talents, testing their ability to create and innovate new versions that suit the increasingly sophisticated tastes and demands of the audience. The 2017 Perfect Version will consist of 15 episodes, each featuring four contestants. Depending on each contestant's individual strengths, each episode will showcase various cover styles such as jazz, rock, R&B, bolero, contemporary folk, etc. The Perfect Version will air at 9:30 PM every Wednesday on HTV7, starting March 8, 2017. |
