Recently, this young woman from Nghe An has frequently appeared on national television as a presenter, speaking both English and Vietnamese. She is currently a student at the Diplomatic Academy of Hanoi.

Meeting Khánh Vy one afternoon, after she had just finished filming a program for the television station, the 9X generation star impressed me with her bright smile, quick demeanor, and approachable way of talking, just like the image we often see on the news and television.

Vy didn't need a break and was ready to start the conversation. It seemed that the energy and enthusiasm of youth always emanated from this young woman born in the 90s, inspiring everyone around her.

More than a year after unexpectedly rising to fame thanks to her video of speaking seven languages ​​fluently, Khánh Vy still feels emotional when recalling it. The young woman was delighted to be asked for the first time about her feelings regarding why the video garnered so much attention.

"Firstly, it was spontaneous. Back in high school, I was very carefree and cheerful. I made the videos without any preparation, just wanting people to watch and have fun. Moreover, there probably hadn't been any videos online where someone 'rambling' in so many languages ​​like that, so people found it strange and interesting. In the end, I guess I was just lucky," Khánh Vy said with a laugh.

Even the girl from Nghe An never imagined that a few minutes of fun with friends would positively change her life and open up many new opportunities.

However, if she had relied solely on her ability to mimic the intonation of multiple languages, she probably wouldn't be as well-known as she is now. What makes her the "ideal child" in everyone's eyes is her impressive list of achievements.

Some notable achievements include being an all-around excellent student throughout all 12 years of schooling, winning third prize in the national English competition in 12th grade, being eligible for direct university admission, receiving a full scholarship worth hundreds of millions of VND, being nominated for the VTV Awards 2016 in the category of "Impressive Personality of the Year," hosting international news broadcasts, and presenting two academic English programs on national television…

At the age of 19, Khanh Vy's achievements have earned her much admiration. When asked about this, Vy said she never considered her accomplishments to be something to be proud of, but rather just average.

"I don't think what I've accomplished is 'amazing' or 'great,' because I know many people who are very talented. However, I don't compare myself to them. Everyone has their own ladder to measure success."

"Since when did beautiful, talented girls become single? Maybe I have a certain charm and make people feel comfortable when talking to me," the 9X girl from Nghe An laughed.

Hearing the nickname "speaks 7 languages," many people mistakenly assume that Khanh Vy is fluent in all of them. The young woman believes that perhaps that's why they think she's "the perfect child." Vy revealed that she studied English intensively, while she learned Chinese and Korean because she enjoyed them, and now she can communicate at a basic level.

Khánh Vy declined all compliments, so when asked to describe herself, she simply said: Complex, kind, hardworking, and ambitious. Through the conversation, the 9X generation girl demonstrated exactly what she described herself to be.

It's complicated because while most people travel far for leisure and fun, Khanh Vy prefers to go to distant places for work. Although it's her job, the 9X generation considers it a hobby.

At the television station, Khanh Vy proactively observes and learns from her colleagues. At home, she watches many programs, paying particular attention to how the presenters host and their body language.

"My voice isn't very strong, so I often stand in the bathroom and shout instead of singing the chorus of 'Rolling In The Deep.' I feel like my throat opens up much more. My father also taught me how to take five deep breaths before hosting to make my lungs feel more open," Vy confided.

Recently, Khanh Vy has been filming many programs for VTV7 in the Mekong Delta provinces. She recounted having to sit, and even stand, on boats leading the way at Cai Rang floating market in Can Tho. While filming, the 9X actress lost her balance and almost fell backward, luckily someone in the crew caught her.

The 19-year-old girl said that such minor incidents don't scare her, but rather make her feel happy and remember them because she gets to "give her all" to her work.

Being an MC is considered a job that pleases many, so Khánh Vy understands that it's inevitable that some people won't support her or will be against her. She has received numerous criticisms about her appearance and hosting skills from both adults and young people.

Vy is very grateful for sincere and well-intentioned feedback, whether through polite messages or blunt comments like "I don't like the way this person speaks," to help improve her areas for improvement. Conversely, she only accepts negative comments or criticisms made to satisfy her own ego.

When asked if she ever thought that she was becoming famous too early, or that she was losing her youth because she was both studying and busy with filming, Vy shook her head.

When she first started university, Khánh Vy felt overwhelmed by the influx of job offers and opportunities. But as she became more accustomed to her busy life, the girl from Nghệ An realized that the important thing was to know how to balance and make sacrifices.

"The image I aspire to, and always value highly, is knowledge and education. To compare, I prioritize studying over work. After that, I had to focus on studying and not be negligent," the 9X generation member confided.

Khánh Vy's parents and two older sisters supported her becoming an MC, seeing her talent. Of course, the condition was that Vy had to prioritize her education.

Khánh Vy considers herself to have had a fulfilling youth because she has identified her passion, done what she loves, met many people, and worked in diverse environments. In particular, thanks to her hard work as an MC, photo model, and in advertisements, she currently doesn't have to ask her parents for money.

"Every parent has expectations for their child, and my parents are no exception. But they never pressured me to be as good as this person or that person; instead, they reminded me to be diligent, emphasizing that 'hard work compensates for lack of intelligence.' Thanks to their constant guidance and support, I am who I am today," the 9X generation girl said.

Vy's two older sisters are both successful (one is a lecturer at Hanoi Pedagogical University, the other works in the external relations department of a food corporation), thanks to their parents' guidance from a young age. Vy confided that she admires her two sisters and uses their success as motivation to strive for her own goals.

However, according to Phuong, Khanh Vy's second-largest sister, the youngest sibling is actually the most talented child of their parents. The two sisters are quite far apart in age but are very close.

"From a young age, Khanh Vy was intelligent and quick-witted. At Vy's age, her sisters weren't as talkative or confident standing in front of many people to host a show like she was. My child is almost 5 years old now, and isn't as lively as Aunt Vy was when she was little," she proudly shared about her younger sister.

Khánh Vy revealed that she greatly admires her parents for their ability to recognize their children's talents in various fields. Since kindergarten, Vy's two older sisters often listened to foreign songs by Westlife, Britney Spears, etc., so her love for foreign languages ​​developed without her even realizing it.

Seeing her daughter often whispering English, Khanh Vy's mother realized she had a talent for the language and invested in English classes for her starting in the 4th grade. Throughout high school, her English grades consistently remained above 8.5.

When her final grade in this subject in 12th grade was revealed to be 9.9, and 10 in the first semester, Khanh Vy said it wasn't anything outstanding, because all her classmates in the national excellent student competition team at her school had similar grades. "I never thought of myself as being good at English, because there are no limits to learning a foreign language. I consider English as a tool to serve my studies and work," the student humbly said.

Looking at Khanh Vy's track record in the English language competition for gifted students, few would know that in 9th grade, she failed to make it into the top 10 of her school's competition to be selected for a higher-level competition.

Vy recounted that at the time, she was too overconfident, thinking she was the best and there was no reason why she shouldn't be chosen for the team. When she received a low score, the 9X generation girl was very sad and felt her self-esteem was hurt.

Thanks to her mother's comforting words, "My dear, life has many more competitions," Khanh Vy regained her spirits and learned a life lesson: never be complacent or self-satisfied, because "the formula for lifelong ignorance is: Being satisfied with your own opinions and content with your own knowledge."

"After 3-4 months of studying for the national gifted student exam, my face was covered in acne, and I looked much more 'worn out.' My father told me to rest, but my mother wanted me to get into university based on my exam scores."

"At that time, I had quite a few gaps in my knowledge, and my scores on mock exams weren't high, so I threw myself into studying during the final days. When I received the results confirming I got accepted into my dream university, I realized that all the effort I put in was worthwhile," Khánh Vy shared.

She affirmed that women fulfill this noble role, but they still need to prepare themselves with the necessary skills for life.

"Educated individuals help shape a knowledgeable society. Being a wife and mother still requires knowledge. The important thing is that one feels comfortable, has enough life experience, confidence, and financial independence to fulfill these responsibilities," the 9X generation woman commented.

When asked if she had a boyfriend, Khanh Vy humorously revealed: "I have many, many male friends… in my close-knit group. Currently, I like the handsome actor Song Joong Ki, but he's about to become 'someone else's husband'."

Khánh Vy doesn't demand that the man who comes into her life meet certain standards. She will accept the opportunity when fate brings it her way and believes that getting married before the age of 30 is appropriate.

"As a girl, I believe that becoming a woman requires three things: independence, self-confidence, and success. Everyone has their own measure of success. I think that with all three, life will be more comfortable," the 19-year-old shared.
