(Baonghean.vn) – As a professional volleyball player, Le Thi Thanh Lien has a particular fondness for football and idolizes the Argentinian superstar Lionel Messi.

Libero Lê Thị Thanh Liên, born in 1993, is 1.55m tall. Before officially becoming an athlete for Đức Giang Hanoi Chemicals, she was part of the Nghệ An women's volleyball team. Because Nghệ An competes in the A1 league, in previous years she played for many teams in the top league such as: Bia Sài Gòn TBD, Cao Su Phú Riềng…

From the age of 16, Thanh Lien was the main libero for the Vietnamese national women's youth volleyball team. For three consecutive years from 2010-2012, Le Thi Thanh Lien was included in the national women's volleyball team's training camp roster.

Born and raised in Hop Thanh - Yen Thanh, a rural area where only rice grows, where life depends on rice, and where Thanh Lien grew up, "Cute Little Mushroom" (Thanh Lien's nickname) had a passionate love for volleyball from a young age. In sixth grade, she was one of the youngest students, but with her love, enthusiasm, agility, and a bit of talent for volleyball, she was selected for the school's team to participate in the Phu Dong Sports Festival that year.

Despite starting volleyball at such a young age, this girl born in 1993 began practicing volleyball seriously in her teens. At 15, she was selected for the Nghệ An province's talent team, and from there, our Libero's volleyball career began a new chapter.

A year after joining that talent team, for many, "five years is like a nap," but for Lien, it was more than enough. She was called up to the National Youth Team and participated in her first international tournament. Along with Ta Dieu Linh (TTLVPB) and Nguyen Thi Kim Lien (VTVBDLA), Le Thi Thanh Lien is always considered one of Vietnam's top liberos.

With her fiery passion, spectacular diving saves, intense love for volleyball, and unparalleled foot saves—those are the things that will make me and us remember her.

At 25, she may be a strong woman on the court, but off the court, Thanh Lien is just a girl. Like any girl, she has passions; her passions include beauty, shopping, reading newspapers, and watching volleyball.

In particular, Thanh Lien is also a devoted fan and admirer of superstar Lionel Messi. When asked what she would do if she didn't play volleyball, she calmly replied, "Perhaps I would go to school like my friends, but I truly love volleyball, so if I couldn't become a professional athlete, I would go to school to become a coach later."

Like many other athletes, our girl is also training hard every day so that one day she can wear the red flag with a yellow star on her chest and stand on world-class competition courts. She revealed: "I really admire Libero Sano of the Japanese women's volleyball team. She is a brave libero and always makes beautiful diving saves.
