The Huawei Nova 16 SE has officially launched in China with an 8,500 mAh battery, an 8,000-nit OLED display, a Kirin 8020 processor, and a starting price of 9.73 million VND.
Huawei has officially launched the mid-range Nova 16 SE smartphone in the Chinese market. This product marks the return of the SE series with many outstanding specifications in its segment, including an 8,500 mAh battery, a screen with a maximum brightness of 8,000 nits, and support for Beidou satellite connectivity.

The Huawei Nova 16 SE features a 6.84-inch flat OLED display with a resolution of 2756 x 1272 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen boasts a local peak brightness of up to 8,000 nits, ensuring clear visibility even in direct sunlight. Additionally, the device incorporates 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming technology to protect the eyes in low-light environments.
Despite its large-capacity battery, the Nova 16 SE maintains a slim design at 7.98 mm and weighs 229 grams. It features an aluminum alloy frame and a fiberglass back. Notably, it boasts water and dust resistance certifications including IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K.
Kirin 8020 chip performance and satellite connectivity
In terms of hardware specifications, the Nova 16 SE runs on a Kirin 8020 processor, has up to 512GB of internal storage, and runs HarmonyOS 6.1. This smartphone supports current connectivity standards such as Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and Star Flash 2.0 technology.
In addition, Huawei integrates Beidou satellite messaging, helping users stay in touch in areas without mobile phone coverage.
