Huawei has set the launch date for the new MatePad Pro for August 5th, featuring an ultra-thin 4.7mm design, a weight of 439g, an integrated Kirin T93 chip, and Beidou satellite connectivity.
Huawei has officially announced on its Weibo account the launch of its new high-end MatePad Pro tablet in the Chinese market at 2:30 PM on August 5, 2026 (local time). This is the next step for the Chinese technology company after introducing the MatePad Pro Max series in June 2026.
Ultra-slim and lightweight design with a distinctive circular camera module.
Official promotional images from Huawei reveal that the new MatePad Pro will come in two color options: blue and pink. The rear camera module is designed in a large circular shape, sharing a design language similar to the previously launched MatePad Pro Max.
In terms of physical specifications, this tablet model makes a strong impression with its slim profile of only 4.7 mm and lightweight design of 439 g. Furthermore, the device is confirmed to fully support work accessories including a stylus pen and a detachable keyboard.

According to leaked information from the Digital Chat Station account, the upcoming MatePad Pro will feature an OLED screen with a size of approximately 12 inches. The device is expected to run on a processor from the Kirin T93 chip series developed by Huawei.
Additionally, this tablet model is also expected to come with a 66W fast charger and support Beidou satellite messaging – an advanced technology that Huawei is expanding across its high-end devices.
