Sea lilies - some of the most bizarre creatures at the bottom of the ocean.

This strange and beautiful creature is called Crinoids, or sea lilies. Dutch professional diver Els van den Eijnden captured these precious photographs of this creature in the waters near Bali.

It's very rare to see sea lilies swimming like this.

Sea lilies have tentacles that look like tree branches, covered in lots of hair. These animals live attached to coral reefs, and it is very rare to see them swimming.

Sea lilies belong to the group of echinoderms, the same family as starfish and sea urchins. They use feather-like tentacles to catch and suck up plankton.

There are currently about 600 species of sea lilies in the world.

For most of their lives, sea lilies cling to rocks and coral reefs. Only in exceptional circumstances do they move from their habitat.
