Hung 'crossbar' joins Dong A Thanh Hoa

Having to compete in three arenas: V.League, National Cup and Shopee Cup, Dong A Thanh Hoa has actively added to its squad. A series of new recruits have gathered under coach Velizar Popov, including Pham Manh Hung, former center back of Song Lam Nghe An.

Before being recruited by Dong A Thanh Hoa, the player born in 1993 played for Song Lam Nghe An, SHB Da Nang, Thep Xanh Nam Dinh and Hai Phong. Overall, Pham Manh Hung has not proven much over the past time, although he was highly appreciated by experts in terms of talent.

In V.League 2023/2024 alone, in Hai Phong's shirt, the player from Thai Hoa town only played 6 matches with a total of 437 minutes. The simple reason is that Pham Manh Hung could not compete for a position with teammates like Dang Van Toi, Nguyen Nhat Minh and Bicou Bissainthe.

At the end of the 2023/2024 season, the contract between Hai Phong and Hung "crossbar" officially expired. Because he was not in the plan of coach Chu Dinh Nghiem, Pham Manh Hung had to pack his bags and leave Lach Tray Stadium to find a new destination, after a total of 4 seasons together.

Hopefully, at Dong A Thanh Hoa, Pham Manh Hung will be regularly used by coach Velizar Popov. At the moment, the Thanh team owns many quality central defenders, typically foreign players Gustavo Santana, Nguyen Thanh Long and Dinh Tien Thanh.
