Hung Xuan (Hung Nguyen): Receives provincial-level recognition certificate for traditional craft village.

(Baonghean.vn) - The ceremony to receive the certificate recognizing the peanut oil making village was held on the morning of March 18th in Hung Xuan commune, Hung Nguyen district.

The peanut oil pressing industry in Hung Xuan commune was established nearly 80 years ago. It is mainly concentrated in hamlets 9 and 10, with 46 households participating; creating jobs for hundreds of local workers; with an income of 45 million VND per person per year. Each year, the village produces between 400,000 and 420,500 liters of peanut oil and sesame oil of various types for the market.

Currently, Hung Xuan peanut oil products are available everywhere from North to South Vietnam. In addition, local households also provide milling and oil pressing services for people outside the commune and district.

Being recognized as a traditional craft village by the People's Committee of Nghe An province will help people become more responsible in producing peanut oil, ensuring food safety and hygiene, while also increasing people's income and improving the village's infrastructure.
