Instructions for participating in the English Challenge 2025-2026 program.

In accordance with the cooperation program between the Nghe An Provincial Newspaper and Radio and Television Station and the Department of Education and Training (GD&ĐT), and the international education organization 2G Education, the Nghe An Newspaper and Radio and Television Station, in coordination with the Department of Education and Training and 2G Education, will organize the English Challenge program for the 2025-2026 academic year (season 9).

This is a special playground for primary school students who love and are passionate about English, providing them with an opportunity to assess their abilities; develop a strong and confident mindset; equip themselves with comprehensive skills; and create opportunities to interact with peers, contributing to improving the quality of English teaching and learning in primary schools in Nghe An province.

To ensure the program is implemented successfully, the Organizing Committee requests that the Culture and Social Affairs Departments of the communes and wards carry out the following tasks:
1. Distribute the Regulations and Registration Form for the Program to primary schools in the area; guide schools to study the Regulations, disseminate them to students and parents of grades 4 and 5, and encourage them to voluntarily participate in this Program. Detailed information about the program can be accessed on the websites: truyenhinhnghean.vn or baonghean.vn.

2. Instruct schools to select the most outstanding students to register and form a team to participate in the Program (based on voluntary participation from students and primary schools) with the following specific numbers:

- Primary schools in the former districts of Anh Son, Con Cuong, Tuong Duong, Ky Son, Que Phong, Quy Hop, Quy Chau, Tan Ky, and Nghia Dan will form teams according to each school. The specific criteria are: Primary schools in the former town areas: 5 contestants, other schools: 2 contestants per school. (For example: In primary schools in the former Ky Son district, Muong Xen Town Primary School: 5 contestants, other schools: 2 contestants each).

- Primary schools in the lowland areas of the former districts of Nghi Loc, Hung Nguyen, Nam Dan, Do Luong, Dien Chau, Quynh Luu, Yen Thanh, and Thanh Chuong will form teams according to each school. The specific criteria are: Primary schools in the former town areas: 10 contestants, other schools: 3 contestants/school. (For example: In primary schools of the former Nam Dan district, Nam Dan Town Primary School 1 and 2: 10 contestants/school, other schools: 3 contestants each).

- Primary schools in the wards of the former towns of Hoang Mai, Thai Hoa, and Cua Lo may each send a maximum of 5 candidates.

- Primary schools in the wards of the former Vinh City may each send a maximum of 20 candidates.

- For candidates from other provinces: Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh, and neighboring provinces, each primary school in the central ward can send a maximum of 10 candidates. Other schools can send a maximum of 5 candidates.

Candidates from outside the province should submit their applications via email. The application must be certified by the school the student is currently attending.

The list of students registering to participate in the Program should be sent to Nghe An Newspaper and Radio and Television (via email):[email protected]) and the Department of Education and Training of Nghe An province (via email:[email protected]) before December 31, 2025.

- The expected application period is from December 8, 2025 to December 31, 2025.

- December 31, 2025: Deadline for registrations from schools and applications from outside the province.

The organizing committee will no longer accept applications from candidates after December 31, 2025.

3. Instruct primary schools to contact parents to disseminate the program's regulations, encourage students' voluntary participation, coordinate with the school to register their children, and cooperate in bringing students to participate in the qualifying round and subsequent rounds (if eligible).

4. Rules and RegulationsPreliminary roundEnglish Challenge Season 9 is as follows:

- After the application round, the Organizing Committee will finalize the list and establish the first elimination round in 3 clusters at different times, including:

+ Examination cluster for candidates from the former Vinh City area.

+This examination cluster is for students from primary schools in 9 districts and 1 town in the former mountainous region (Anh Son, Con Cuong, Tuong Duong, Ky Son, Que Phong, Quy Hop, Quy Chau, Tan Ky, Nghia Dan, and Thai Hoa town).

+ This examination cluster is for students from primary schools in 8 districts and 1 town in the former delta region (Nghi Loc, Hung Nguyen, Nam Dan, Do Luong, Dien Chau, Quynh Luu, Yen Thanh, Thanh Chuong and Hoang Mai town).

ButThe locations, registration numbers, and times for the first preliminary rounds of the three examination clusters will be announced to the schools and candidates by the Organizing Committee.

ButContestants participating in the first preliminary round will take an online computer-based test assessing their English proficiency in listening, reading, and writing skills. The criteria are set by the organizers, and contestants have a maximum of 75 minutes to complete the test.

ButSubsequently, candidates selected through the first qualifying round will participate in the second preliminary round, which will be a live speaking skills test with judges at the 2G International Education Organization (65 Le Hong Phong Street, Thanh Vinh Ward). Each candidate will have a maximum of 10 minutes to complete the test.

ButContestants selected through the second round of qualifiers will participate in the filmed rounds at the studio. The Organizing Committee will specifically notify the Culture and Social Affairs Departments, primary schools, and each contestant individually.

5. Duration of the televised competition rounds:Each program will last 50 minutes and involve 4 students, divided into 4 parts.
