Huong Giang crowned Miss International Transgender 2018
The Vietnamese representative won convincingly thanks to her strong performance and intelligent answers during the Q&A session. The Australian beauty was the first runner-up, while Yoshi from Thailand won the second runner-up title.

Huong Giang shed tears when the MC announced her name as the new Miss International Queen 2018. This was a well-deserved result for everything she showed throughout the competition – her effort, confidence, and radiant beauty. For the final night, Huong Giang chose a striking red evening gown and impressive, bold makeup. In each segment, she walked gracefully, showcasing her beautiful body and radiant smile. Her two Q&A responses were also excellent, concise, insightful, and conveyed a meaningful message about gender equality and a call for respect and opposition to discrimination against the LGBT community. Despite participating in a beauty pageant for transgender people for the first time, Huong Giang won the top prize. She convincingly surpassed even the strong contender from host country Thailand to win the Miss International Queen 2018 crown.
Immediately after being crowned, Huong Giang shared that she felt amazing and still couldn't believe her victory. She said: "This is the result not only of Giang but also of the entire team - the people who love Giang, especially all the viewers everywhere who have always supported Giang. I will definitely have the most meaningful activities for everyone, for the LGBT community, to reciprocate the love everyone has given me."

When Hương Giang made it to the top 3 alongside Thailand and Australia, she and the other two contestants were asked the same question: "If you had to undertake a community activity to make the world a better place, what would you do?". Hương Giang answered: "I want to demand equal rights for everyone because everyone wants a good life. Transgender people also want equality and freedom from discrimination. I hope we can all work together to make the world a better place."

In the Q&A round with Miss Italy, Australia, Thailand, Brazil, and Venezuela, Huong Giang also performed excellently. The Vietnamese representative drew the question: "What is your self-worth?". Without hesitation, Huong Giang answered concisely in Vietnamese: "I was not born as fortunate as others, but I have strived to improve myself and study hard so that today I am here, becoming a source of pride for Vietnam."
Huong Giang also won two additional awards in the competition: the Talent award and the Most Viewed Introduction Video award.
Previously, the final night of the Miss International Queen Pageant 2018 took place in Pattaya, Thailand at 10 PM on March 9th.The show opened with the girls showcasing their traditional costumes on a rather spectacular stage. Huong Giang wore a design by Dong Dong, weighing a hefty 55kg. Immediately afterward, the two MCs announced that the winner of this award was the representative from Indonesia.Next, the 28 contestants moved on to the evening gown segment. The girls chose revealing, form-fitting dresses to showcase their figures.

Top 12Her name was called shortly after. Huong Giang from Vietnam was announced last, leaving the audience breathless. Huong Giang burst into tears when the MC announced her country. The remaining representatives were Italy, Mexico, Brazil, Laos, Mongolia, Venezuela, Australia, Sri Lanka, the USA, Thailand... The 12 most beautiful girls of the competition performed a sizzling swimsuit show to lively music and enthusiastic cheers from the audience.
Several other special awards were also announced during the final night. Honduras won Miss Congeniality, Brazil won Miss Photogenic, and Venezuela won the Best Evening Gown award.

Miss International Transgender is the biggest beauty pageant for transgender women from around the world, held annually in Thailand.In 2016, Jiratchaya Sirimongkolnawin from the host country triumphed over 24 international representatives.
This year, the competition was held in two cities in Thailand: Pattaya and Bangkok. 28 contestants began gathering on February 25th. Over the past two weeks, they participated in various activities such as a national costume competition, a swimsuit show, a talk show, filming on the beach, and a tuk-tuk parade to greet the Thai people. The final night was broadcast live on G-MM25, one of the two largest television channels in Thailand.
This is the first time Vietnam has had a representative at the Miss International Transgender pageant, and since she's a famous singer, she's received a lot of attention from the media and the public.Huong Giang was born in 1991 in Hanoi. She is 1.70m tall, weighs 52kg, and has measurements of 86-62-90. Huong Giang transitioned after graduating from high school. She became known after participating in the Vietnam Idol 2012 competition. Huong Giang is considered one of the most beautiful transgender women in Vietnam.
