Con Cuong district has recently received approval from the Provincial People's Committee for two investment projects, with a total investment of over 70 billion VND per project; in addition, it has attracted a garment company, creating jobs for thousands of workers.
According to information from the Standing Committee of the Con Cuong District Party Committee, from the beginning of 2024 to the present, the locality has received approval from the Provincial People's Committee for the investment in two projects: the Forest Products Processing Zone project, invested by Phuong Dong Investment and Development Joint Stock Company, with a total investment of nearly 74 billion VND; and the Construction Materials Processing Zone project, invested by Tan Thanh 6 Nghe An Trading and Construction Materials Processing Joint Stock Company, with a total investment of over 77 billion VND.

Mr. Nguyen Hoai An, Secretary of the Con Cuong District Party Committee, stated: "Attracting investment has always been a priority for the District Party Committee, and we are actively involved in this effort. Both projects will create momentum for the district's economic development. Specifically, the timber processing plant project will exploit the potential of the local forest resources, as Con Cuong has 12,000 hectares of acacia forest. The construction materials processing plant, once operational, will supply materials to the locality and other mountainous districts."
In addition, there are several projects currently being surveyed and having their investment approval documents finalized by businesses, namely: AB Ecotourism Group investing in ecotourism in Con Cuong and Dong Asia Medicinal Herbs Group investing in medicinal herbs in Con Cuong.
Currently, the district is also attracting projects for training and testing drivers of automobiles.

Previously, Con Cuong district successfully attracted the Muong Thanh - Con Cuong hotel project, creating a highlight for tourists visiting the area, and the Minh Anh Garment Company's garment project in Nghe An, which is creating jobs for 1,000 local workers. In the near future, Minh Anh Garment Company will invest in building another factory in the district with a total investment of 200 billion VND, creating jobs for approximately 3,000 people, contributing to increased income and poverty reduction in the district.
