After FIFA rejected FAM's appeal, AFC Secretary General Windsor John affirmed that any disciplinary decisions related to the Vietnamese national team would await a ruling from CAS.
Windsor John stated: “Currently, the AFC cannot do anything or intervene in FIFA’s rejection of FAM’s appeal. Any further action can only be taken after FAM takes the case to CAS – a process that could take several months to complete.”
