Hyundai Kona adds special Iron Man edition

The Kona Iron Man special edition was revealed by Hyundai at the official launch of this small SUV.

Hyundai Korea has just introduced to the public the Kona compact SUV with eye-catching design and many outstanding features. At the official launch, a special version called Hyundai Kona Iron Man was also revealed by the company shortly after.

The Kona “Iron Man” is inspired by the character Iron Man from the Marvel fantasy film. Compared to the newly launched standard version, the Kona Iron Man has many major changes, most clearly shown in the exterior of the car. Specifically, the exterior of the Kona stands out with a matte gray tone and some details such as the car ceiling, multi-spoke wheels and the Iron Man logo with eye-catching red accents.

The front of the car impresses with LED headlights that automatically balance the beam angle and LED daytime running lights, the front bumper is extended with a red border on a black-gray background. The large 19-inch alloy wheels with special tires increase off-road capability. At the rear of the car, the LED taillights, the rear bumper is covered with a bright metal plate with the Iron Man lettering on the hood.

Currently, the technical specifications and engine equipment on the special edition Kona Iron Man have not been disclosed.

The standard Hyundai Kona has two gasoline engines and one diesel engine depending on the market. The first is the 2.0L Atkinson MPI engine, with a maximum capacity of 149 horsepower, the 1.6T-GDI Gamma engine, with a capacity of 177 horsepower and the 3-cylinder, turbocharged T-GDI 1.0L engine for the European market producing a capacity of 120 horsepower.

Accordingly, the special edition Kona Iron Man was displayed by Hyundai at Motorstudio for a month.
