Hyundai introduced a Sport version of the 2016 Sonata along with a Value Edition package costing around $950, which includes upgrades in both aesthetics and equipment.
The Korean sedan model adds a sunroof, a Smart Trunk hands-free opening and closing system, chrome door handles with welcome lights when the car is unlocked. The Sonata Sport also features LED daytime running lights, a dual exhaust system, and 17-inch alloy wheels.

The interior remains largely unchanged, featuring sporty leather-upholstered seats. Customers also get added amenities such as heated front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and push-button start. The front seats are 8-way adjustable, and there's a rearview camera and a 7-inch Display Audio screen with Android Auto connectivity.
Like the standard version, the Sonata Sport Value Edition uses a 2.4-liter GDI four-cylinder engine producing 185 horsepower and 241 Nm of torque. It comes with a six-speed automatic transmission.
