Ibrahimovic took a pay cut more than 20 times when he joined LA Galaxy.
From a salary of $35 million a season, the former Man Utd striker now only receives just over $1.5 million since moving to the US to play football.
Players in Major League Soccer (MLS) are subject to a salary cap of $5.15 million.The SunReports indicate that Zlatan Ibrahimovic's salary when he joined LA Galaxy was far less than this figure.
Specifically, the Swedish striker earns a weekly salary of $29,400, equivalent to $1.56 million a year. This figure is less than one-twentieth of what he received at Man Utd, where he earned $35 million a season.

Last week, Ibrahimovic bought a page ofLA TimesTo announce his move to LA Galaxy, the Swedish striker revealed that he wanted to continue playing football and decided to leave Man Utd.
"After winning a total of 33 titles in Europe, playing for the best clubs in the world, with the best teammates on the planet, I wanted to come to America and continue my career here. I wanted to enjoy a new football atmosphere, win, and I chose LA Galaxy to make it happen," the 36-year-old striker shared.
Ibrahimovic has played for all three of Italy's biggest clubs: Juventus, Inter, and AC Milan. He also spent a year at Barcelona, a year and a half at Manchester United, and four years at PSG. The Ajax academy graduate has won La Liga, Ligue 1, and the Scudetto multiple times.
At LA Galaxy, the former PSG player will be alongside Ashley Cole and the Dos Santos brothers (Mexico).
