Inter Miami CF officially announced the signing of defender Facundo Mura on January 4th, continuing their campaign to upgrade their squad for the 2026 MLS season. The former Racing Club player joined the Florida team on a free transfer with a contract until June 2029.

Facundo Mura, 26, was brought in to fill the void on the right flank after Marcelo Weigandt's loan spell ended and he returned to Boca Juniors last December. Mura is a versatile defender, primarily playing on the right wing but capable of playing well on the left flank when needed. In the 2026 season, he is expected to compete directly for a starting position with young talent Ian Fray.
The team stated that the deal will be officially completed once the P-1 visa and International Transfer Certificate (ITC) procedures are approved. This is an important step for Inter Miami to stabilize its roster before entering a busy preseason period.
