iOS 26 Public Beta
Apple has released the public beta of iOS 26, available to all users participating in the Apple Beta Software Program. Compatible devices include iPhone 11 and later, including the iPhone 16 series, and iPhone SE (2nd generation and later).

To install, users need to sign in at beta.apple.com, enable beta updates in Settings, then download the update via Software Update in General Settings.
Compatible iPhone List
- iPhone 11 to iPhone 16 series (including Pro and Plus models).
- iPhone SE (2nd generation or later).
Important notes before installation:
Apple recommends that users do not install beta software on their primary device. Because betas may contain bugs or unfinished features, users should back up their iPhone using Mac Finder or iCloud before updating. Backing up ensures that data can be restored if needed.

Outstanding features of iOS 26
1. Change system design:
This release introduces Liquid Glass, a new design language with adaptive transparency effects. This change is visible on the Lock screen, Home screen, app icons, and system navigation.
2. Upgrade Apple Intelligence:
- Live Translation:Translate directly in Messages, FaceTime, and the Phone app.
- Visual Intelligence:Users can ask questions about the content displayed on the screen.
- Smarter shortcuts:AI-based suggestions.
3. Improved communication:
- The Phone app features Call Screening and Hold Assist.
- Messages allows poll creation, custom chat backgrounds, and Apple Cash transfers.
- Group chats show typing status, and unknown senders are filtered.

4. Update the application:
- Apple Music:Added Lyrics Translation and AutoMix transitions.
- Maps:Includes privacy-protected Visited Places and improved routing.
- Wallet:Support installment payments, boarding pass updates and new integrations.
- New Games App:A centralized hub for mobile gaming.
CarPlay also gets a refresh, with support for widgets, pinned conversations, and Live Activities.
Apple is expected to release the official version of iOS 26 in September 2025, coinciding with the launch of the iPhone 17 series.
