iPhone 18 Pro vs. iPhone 17 Pro: Which upgrades are truly worth it?

The design is virtually unchanged, the ultra-wide and telephoto cameras remain the same, while iOS 27 and Apple Intelligence features are not exclusive to the iPhone 18 Pro.

Therefore, the minimum price of $1,199 is primarily exchanged for upgrades to the main camera, higher performance, better heat dissipation, and longer battery life. For iPhone 17 Pro users, these are worthwhile upgrades, but not necessarily a must-have right away.

Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 Pro could become a noteworthy option if retailers significantly reduce their remaining stock. If the price difference compared to the iPhone 18 Pro is several hundred dollars and users don't need a camera with a variable aperture, the older generation still adequately meets high-end needs.
