Images of Apple's latest smartphone completely charred and damaged, posted on Reddit, raise questions about the product's safety.

Reddit user Kroopthesnoop shared images of a severely damaged and exploded iPhone 7. The Apple device was charred, the screen was ripped off, and the box was yellowed, seemingly due to the impact of the accident.

Currently, many tech websites have reported on this case; however, the information has not been verified. Initial analysis suggests that the iPhone 7 may have exploded during shipping while still in its box. "It appears there was a problem between the manufacturing plant and the shipping company," wrote the owner of the photo.

Apple has not commented on the incident, however, numerous iPhone-related explosions have been reported. For example, in late 2015, a man in the US was nearly injured when his iPhone 6 Plus spontaneously caught fire while in his pocket and not being used or charged. And in March 2016, an iPhone 6 suddenly burst into flames, with a flame reaching 20 cm high, on a flight from Washington to Hawaii (USA).

The issue of exploding phones has become a topic of concern recently, especially after Samsung was forced to recall all 2.5 million Galaxy Note 7 units sold globally. Dozens of explosions related to the device have been reported, and in China, where the Galaxy Note 7 was considered safe and not subject to recall, an explosion also occurred on September 26th.

Samsung is actively working on improving the Galaxy Note 7, fixing the battery issues for users. The company also plans to resume sales of this model from the beginning of October.

Photos of the exploding iPhone 7 were shared on Reddit:
