Iran imposes sanctions on nine US businesses and individuals.

The Iranian government has imposed sanctions on nine US businesses, organizations, and individuals in retaliation for US sanctions targeting Iran's ballistic missile program.

On May 20, the Iranian Foreign Ministry published a list of sanctioned companies online.

With these sanctions, the Iranian authorities can seize assets and prohibit employees of those companies from leaving Iran.

All the companies sanctioned by Iran declined to comment on the matter.
