According to RIA Novosti on October 11, the Wall Street Journal quoted Arab officials as saying that Iran warned that it would attack US allies in the Persian Gulf and the Middle East if the territory or airspace of those areas were used to attack Iran.

“Iran, through secret diplomatic channels, is threatening to attack oil-rich Gulf states and other US allies in the Middle East if their territory or airspace is used to attack Iran,” the Wall Street Journal said.

According to the publication, Tehran has issued similar warnings to Jordan, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia and Qatar, with US forces present in all of these countries.

The Wall Street Journal reported that the governments of the above countries have informed the administration of US President Joe Biden that they do not want to provide the US or Israel with their military infrastructure or airspace for any aggressive actions against Iran.

In early October, Iran launched a large-scale missile attack on Israel. The Israeli military said that 180 ballistic missiles were fired from Iran, but most of them were intercepted. Iran said that the missiles hit Israeli military targets, while Tel Aviv assessed that there was “negligible damage”.

On October 9, Israeli Defense Minister Job Gallant warned of a tough, precise and unexpected response to Iran’s missile attack. According to Gallant, Tehran “won’t even understand what’s happening.”

On the same day, Ebrahim Jabbari, an adviser to the commander of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, warned: "We have fired 200 missiles at Israel, and are now ready to fire hundreds or thousands of missiles at the territory they control, targeting their economic, military and security centers."

According to Jabbari, Iran is well prepared for attacks and the current level of readiness of its missile units allows them to strike important targets in Israel. Israel's military and economic centers are considered prime targets, which could lead to serious consequences for both the country's defense capabilities and infrastructure.
