Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claims its missile production capabilities remain stable despite the fighting, while simultaneously launching a major offensive against US and Israeli bases.

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) asserted that it continues to produce ballistic missiles and maintain its strategic weapons stockpile, while launching its 67th attack targeting US and Israeli military facilities in the region. This move comes amid escalating tensions in the Middle East and debates over NATO's role in the Strait of Hormuz.

Defense production capabilities and opposing statements

IRGC spokesman Ali Mohammad Naeini said Iran continues to produce missiles even in the midst of conflict and that its strategic stockpiles are unaffected. This statement refuted earlier claims by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the Iranian Air Force and Navy had suffered heavy losses, and that its ballistic missile production capabilities had been neutralized.

Notably, shortly after making the statement, some media sources claimed that Naeini had been killed in an airstrike. Currently, due to limited verifiable information from the field, the exact status of Iran's weapons, nuclear, and energy facilities remains unclear.

The True Promise Campaign 4 and its targets.

The IRGC announced the latest offensive as part of Operation "Truthful Promise 4." According to the group's statement, targets included key US military positions in the Middle East. Specifically:

  • Ali al-Salem base:This is where the air traffic control centers, drone control centers, aircraft maintenance facilities, and operational command centers of the U.S.-led coalition are located.
  • Al-Wafa Base:Early warning radar systems and missile defense facilities were attacked.
  • Israel's objective:Radar centers, satellite systems, and missile defense systems were also among the targets of the attack.

Alongside military operations, General Abolfazl Shekarchi, spokesman for the Iranian Armed Forces, warned of the possibility of expanding the scope of attacks beyond the Middle East as a tactic to pressure adversaries.

The US reaction and criticisms directed at NATO.

In response to the escalating tensions, the U.S. military is deploying additional forces to the region. Sources from AP confirm that the USS Boxer, along with two other amphibious assault ships, carrying approximately 2,500 Marines from the 11th Marine Expeditionary Brigade, has departed San Diego heading towards the Middle East.

Meanwhile, on the political front, US President Donald Trump has made harsh statements targeting NATO allies. He criticized alliance members as "cowards" for refusing to support the operation to clear the Strait of Hormuz. Trump even declared that NATO is now just a "paper tiger" due to its lack of decisiveness in protecting maritime security and global oil supplies.

In Iran, Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, in his Nowruz New Year message, praised the resilience of the people. He asserted that attempts by adversaries to overthrow the government by targeting high-ranking leaders had failed against Iran's "nationwide defense front."
