The Iranian Foreign Ministry statement said that US President Donald Trump must once again ease nuclear sanctions against Tehran.
The statement emphasized: "Internal unity and international support for the agreement prevented attempts by President Trump, the Jewish regime (of Israel), and the formidable alliance of warmongers to abolish or alter the document."
In its statement, the Iranian Foreign Ministry also affirmed that it would retaliate against US sanctions imposed on the Islamic Republic's court system.
The statement came a day after President Trump stressed he would not reimpose significant economic sanctions on Iran for another 120 days, declaring it would be “the last time” he would do so.
At the same time, the US Treasury Department also decided to impose new sanctions on 14 Iranian individuals and entities, including Justice Minister Sadeq Larijani.
