Following President Donald Trump's announcement of a two-week ceasefire, Iran unexpectedly declared a "great victory" over the US and prepared to enter negotiations in Pakistan.

Citing the National Security Council, Iranian state television stated the message: "Iran has achieved a great victory and forced the US to accept the 10-point plan." According to Tehran's statement, the terms that the US allegedly accepted include: allowing Tehran to maintain full control of the Strait of Hormuz; paying compensation for damages to Iran; completely lifting economic sanctions; allowing Iran to continue its uranium enrichment program; and withdrawing all US troops from the Middle East.
Nevertheless, Iran's National Security Council emphasized that participating in the negotiation process does not mean an end to the state of war with the United States. Tehran also issued a stern warning that it would retaliate with full force if the US made even the slightest mistake during the ceasefire.
According to the plan, negotiations between the US and Iran will officially begin on Friday, April 10th, in Islamabad, Pakistan. Tehran has set a two-week timeframe for the entire process and established a ceasefire throughout the discussions.
Earlier, President Donald Trump stated that, through the mediation of Pakistan, the two sides had reached a 14-day ceasefire agreement. He also affirmed that Tehran had agreed to guarantee maritime safety in the Strait of Hormuz and that Iran's 10-point proposal would serve as the basis for upcoming negotiations.
Missiles continued to explode even during the ceasefire.
Despite pronouncements of détente, the situation on the ground remains highly complex. Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are currently fending off new missile and drone attacks.
In the Tel Aviv area, air raid sirens blared continuously. According to reporters on the scene, several loud explosions were recorded, suspected to be from air defense systems intercepting targets. Israel's warning system confirmed that danger signals had been activated in dozens of cities in the central part of the country. Currently, there are no reports of casualties or specific material damage.
