Multi-layered defense tactics
Adding SLS missiles to the SLM formation increases the density of firepower at the lower altitude, where UAVs and patrol missiles frequently appear in large numbers. SLS missiles have the advantage of a large number of ready-to-launch missiles, making them suitable for inexpensive target engagement, while SLM missiles provide a medium-range buffer, creating a second layer of interception. Delivery schedule and prospects
The German Ministry of Defence had initially planned to deliver the fourth IRIS-T system by the end of the year, but the schedule has changed for undisclosed reasons. According to the plan, Ukraine could receive at least three IRIS-T launchers next year, with further deliveries in subsequent phases. Specific timelines have not been given.
