The Islamic State has released a video showing them forcing a 10-year-old blond boy to shoot dead a suspected spy.

The 15-minute video was posted on September 16 by a media channel affiliated with the Islamic State (IS). It shows IS militants executing so-called "spies" in the "Wilayat Ninawa" region of Iraq, according to Mirror.
The video shows a blond boy, no older than 10, dressed in camouflage and holding a gun. A militant, who appears to be Caucasian, then appears to “help” the boy shoot the prisoners in the back of the head. The boy, whose identity has not been released, is likely of European descent.
IS regularly boasts about its “next generation of caliphate fighters”. A video emerged earlier this week showing young boys describing their dreams of “martyrdom”. The commentary describes this as “the generation that will conquer Damascus, Baghdad, Jerusalem, Mecca, al-Median, Dabiq, Rome and Andalusia”.
IS recruits and kidnaps thousands of children, brainwashes them into suicide bombers, and uses knives or guns to kill. The emergence of the so-called “Generation of Heroic Battles” by IS has experts worried that more children will be forced into combat.
