Israel attacks Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon
The Israeli Defense Forces attacked the infrastructure of the Hezbollah movement - a Hamas support force in southern Lebanon.
According to RIA Novosti, on October 11, in the context of a ceasefire agreement being discussed in the Gaza Strip, the Israel Defense Forces attacked the infrastructure of the Hezbollah movement in southern Lebanon.
At 12:00 on October 10, the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas took effect.
"Some time ago, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) attacked and destroyed Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon,where technical equipment was used by Hezbollah to restore terrorist infrastructure in the area," the IDF Telegram channel said.
According to Al-Mayadeen channel, one person was killed in the raid and several others were injured.
The Lebanese government has repeatedly accused its southern neighbor of violating its sovereignty, despite a ceasefire agreement reached in November 2024.
At the same time, Israeli armed forces maintain a presence at five strategic points in southern Lebanon, including the northern part of the village of Ghajar. Beirut considers this an ongoing occupation and a violation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
In return, the Israel Defense Forces announced that they were attacking the military infrastructure of the Hezbollah movement and Hezbollah's combat leadership.
Israel has repeatedly stressed that it will continue its attacks to eliminate the threat posed by the Hezbollah conflict.
