According to a statement from the Israeli Ministry of Defense, the test achieved all expected parameters and objectives. Israeli Defense Minister Amir Baram stated that the test was a breakthrough, supporting increased self-reliance in the production of strategic defense systems. In addition, Israel is accelerating the production of Arrow interceptor missiles to meet actual operational needs.

According to Guy Barlev, CEO of Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), data collected from this test will directly contribute to the research and development of the next generation of defense technologies. The role of the Arrow system in a multi-layered defense network.

The Arrow system serves as the highest layer of defense in Israel's multi-layered missile defense model. The Arrow 3 variant, in particular, is capable of intercepting ballistic missile targets even outside the atmosphere.

In actual combat, the Arrow 3 system has been successfully deployed multiple times to neutralize ballistic missile attacks directed at Israeli territory from Iran and Yemen since October 2023.

Arrow 4 development vision and commercial prospects

Along with optimizing existing systems, IAI is accelerating the development of the Arrow 4 missile family. This is a new generation of interceptor missiles designed to supplement and gradually replace the Arrow 2 system, aiming to more effectively counter new-generation ballistic missiles with greater range and complexity.

Notably, the Arrow program not only serves domestic security needs but has also achieved success in the international market. Germany has signed a contract worth approximately $7 billion to acquire the Arrow 3 system and is now considered a potential customer for the future Arrow 4 system.
