According to China Daily, Chinese billionaire Jack Ma will appear for the first time in a 20-minute film called "The Art of Attack and Defense". Eight minutes of the film will be shown at Tmall Double 11 Night Carnival - a television program of Alibaba, China's leading e-commerce group. In this film, pop diva Faye Wong collaborated with Jack Ma to perform the film's theme song.
Jack Ma is known to be a fan of martial arts. He is fascinated by Jin Yong's martial arts novels and has practiced Tai Chi for over 30 years. He even uses fictional characters from literary novels to nickname his employees. .
The film features three of Hong Kong's top choreographers, Yuen Woo-ping, Sammo Hung of Ip Man fame, and Ching Siu-tung. The film's cast also includes top action stars Jet Li, Donnie Yen, Wu Jing, and Thailand's Tony Jaa, as well as A-list actors Huang Xiaoming, Tong Tai-wai, and Li Chen. In addition, retired boxer Zou Shiming and retired Mongolian sumo champion Asashoryu Akinori also appear in the film.

Jack Ma conceived the film in 2009 when he met Jet Li, a Chinese kung fu master. They co-founded a company to promote Tai Chi in 2011 and decided to make a film to fulfill their passion.
In the film, Jack Ma plays a Tai Chi master, while Jet Li plays a Buddhist monk. Speaking about the film and its influence on the Alibaba founder, a person close to Jack Ma revealed: "Jack Ma is young at heart. He loves art and culture. Martial arts played an important role in shaping who he is."
Jet Li said that Jack Ma spent 12 hours a day for 12 days filming the film. During this time, the billionaire only asked for leave once, for Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto's visit to Alibaba's headquarters in September.
