Jannik Sinner and Aryna Sabalenka won their first titles at the tournament dubbed the "fifth Grand Slam," simultaneously setting impressive records and solidifying their status as the world's top tennis players.

In the men's singles final, Jannik Sinner overcame Daniil Medvedev with a close score of 7-6(6), 7-6(4) after two thrilling tie-breaks. The biggest highlight was in the second set when the Italian player came back to win 7 consecutive points despite being down 0-4 in the tie-break. This was Sinner's 9th victory in the last 10 encounters with Medvedev, demonstrating his dominance in major tournaments.
Besides the championship title, the 24-year-old also set an impressive list of records. He became the first athlete in ATP history to win two consecutive Masters 1000 titles without losing a single set. Not only that, Sabalenka also replicated Iga Swiatek's feat of winning a WTA 1000 tournament after saving a match point earlier in the series.
This victory marks Sabalenka's 20th title on hard courts, putting her level with Victoria Azarenka. It also officially places her among the ranks of players with more than 10 WTA 1000 titles, alongside legendary names like Serena Williams and Iga Swiatek.
This year's final also marked the third time in the tournament's history that it was decided by a tie-break in the deciding set. After the match, in addition to personal joy, Sabalenka shared her pride in her endurance, while Sinner also congratulated his compatriot Kimi Antonelli on his victory at F1 China, creating a day of great celebration for Italian sports and the world of tennis.
