Juventus lost their winning streak despite Ronaldo's goal

Juventus' 11-game winning streak since the start of the season was stopped by Genoa right at the Allianz Stadium. The away team introduced "new but old" coach Ivan Juric. This is the third time Juric has led Genoa and he quickly left his mark with the 3-5-2 formation.

Juventus had been unbeaten against Genoa since January 1991 and the port city club were not expected to cause a surprise. That was reinforced when Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring in the 18th minute. Joao Cancelo dribbled down the left wing and decided to shoot. The ball hit two away players before reaching Ronaldo, who easily tapped the ball into the net.

This was CR7's 400th goal in European leagues. A few minutes later, he continued to shoot from Juan Cuadrado's pass, but the Genoa goalkeeper dived. The home team took the initiative to play slowly from then on, making it difficult for Ronaldo to have many good chances.

Juventus's attack was unimpressive, while their defence failed to do their job.
