The robber was beaten to death by the victim.

Enraged at being threatened and robbed, the victim called for help to retaliate and beat the "robber" to death with a stick right in the park.

On October 14th, the Tan Binh District Police in Ho Chi Minh City announced that they are investigating a fatal assault that occurred at the lakeside of Zone B, Hoang Van Thu Park (Ward 2, Tan Binh District).

The victim was QVN (19 years old, from Ca Mau, residing in Ho Chi Minh City). Three suspects believed to be involved in the case are Nguyen Van Rin (23 years old, from Khanh Hoa), Nguyen Van Hoan (19 years old, from Binh Thuan), and Tran Ngoc Hoa (21 years old, from Ha Nam), all three temporarily residing in Tan Binh district, and are currently being detained for questioning.

According to initial information, at approximately 1:00 AM on October 12th, Rin was chatting with his girlfriend, NTTY (21 years old, from Quang Binh province, temporarily residing in Go Vap district), in Zone B of Hoang Van Thu Park when N. and two other young men (whose identities are unknown) used weapons to threaten Rin and Y and steal the mobile phone from Y's hand. Rin and Y resisted, causing N.'s group to flee. At this time, Y called Hoan and Hoa for assistance.

While Rin, Hoan, Hoa, and Y were sitting in the park, N's group arrived on motorcycles. Upon spotting N, Rin told Hoan and Hoa to grab wooden sticks and attack, causing N to collapse and die on the spot.

The two young men who were following N discovered their friend dead and panicked, fleeing the scene. According to Rin's group's initial statement, they were angry because N's group had threatened and robbed them, so when they saw N, Rin's group attacked him to vent their anger, leading to the incident.
