The killer of the two children confessed to more murders before being executed by lethal injection.

Facing execution for the brutal murder of two children, Vy Bế Ngoạt confessed to having witnessed another murder, leading authorities to postpone the execution pending further investigation.

This information was confirmed by Lieutenant Colonel Y Bé Ksơr, Deputy Director of the Dak Lak Provincial Police, on the morning of August 14th. The reason the Dak Lak Execution Council postponed the execution was because Vy Bế Ngoạt testified that he was a witness in a murder case that occurred in 2009.

"Following this development, the Execution Council decided to temporarily postpone the lethal injection for death row inmate Ngoạt. Currently, the provincial police are requesting the relevant authorities to clarify the matter because death row inmate Ngoạt is the only witness," Lieutenant Colonel Y Bé informed.

Mr. Y Bé stated that once the investigation by the authorities concludes, the sentence against Ngoạt will be carried out.

As reported, at around 6:00 AM on October 21, 2013, Vy Be Ngoat (42 years old, residing in Ea H'Leo district, Dak Lak province) pushed a bicycle loaded with bags of coffee to the Ea Hiao commune market to sell.

On the way home, as Ngoạt passed by the gate of Ms. Triệu Thị Bài's house, he saw a goose in the yard and decided to steal it to butcher it. However, he was discovered by Ms. Bài's 11-year-old son, HCN. N. told Ngoạt that he would tell his relative, Mr. Kham, about it.

Afraid of being discovered, Ngoạt strangled the goose to death and then put it in the chicken coop door in the kitchen. Seeing the crowbar leaning against the corner of the kitchen, Ngoạt picked it up and went outside.

Seeing Ngoạt coming out with a hammer, N. was scared and ran inside the house. Ngoạt chased him inside and repeatedly struck N.'s head with the hammer, causing N.'s death.

At the same time, HPQ (14 years old, the older brother of N. - who has intellectual disabilities) was sleeping on the floor when he noticed what was happening. He stood up and ran away, but Ngoạt continued to use the hammer to strike Q.'s face, causing Q. to die on the spot.

After murdering the two children, Ngoạt took the hammer, threw it away in a cassava field, and fled to Krông Pắk district. He was arrested on October 25, 2013.

On September 22, 2014, the Supreme People's Court upheld the first-instance verdict, sentencing the defendant Ngoạt to death for murder.
