Left-footed Nuno Mendes "gives green light" to MU
PSG left-back Nuno Mendes is open to a move to Manchester United in the summer transfer window of 2025.
According to information from Correio da Manha of Portugal, the 22-year-old star has shown his agreement with the possibility of joining the "Red Devils" after not intending to renew his contract with PSG.
Currently, MU is facing a problem at left-back, with Tyrell Malacia unable to return and Luke Shaw still not fit enough. Coach Ruben Amorim, who worked with Mendes at Sporting Lisbon, is planning to recruit this defender next summer. The fact that Mendes was a student of Amorim at Sporting also explains why he wants to bring this player to Old Trafford.
Mendes will have just 18 months left on his PSG contract in the summer of 2025, and if he does not extend his deal, PSG will be under pressure to sell him. This would give United the opportunity to sign Mendes for less than Transfermarkt's £45m valuation.
Nuno Mendes is known for his versatility, great pace and stamina, strong attacking ability and ability to play in many positions in defence.
