Left-footed Nuno Mendes "gives the green light" for MU.
PSG left-back Nuno Mendes is open to a move to Manchester United in the summer 2025 transfer window.
According to information from Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manha, the 22-year-old star has expressed his agreement to the possibility of joining the "Red Devils" after not intending to renew his contract with PSG.
Currently, Manchester United are facing problems at left-back, with Tyrell Malacia still unavailable and Luke Shaw not yet fully fit. Manager Ruben Amorim, who previously worked with Mendes at Sporting Lisbon, is planning to sign the defender next summer. The fact that Mendes was a student of Amorim at Sporting also explains why he wants to bring the player to Old Trafford.
Mendes will have only 18 months left on his contract with PSG in the summer of 2025, and if he doesn't renew, PSG will be under pressure to sell him. This would create an opportunity for Manchester United to sign Mendes for a lower price than Transfermarkt's £45 million valuation.
