(Baonghean) - Most of the Party members who were admitted while still in school have demonstrated pioneering and exemplary qualities, showing the enthusiasm and aspiration of the younger generation.

In recent years, the number of Party members who are high school students has increased both in "quality" and "quantity". Most of these Party members, admitted while still in school, have demonstrated pioneering and exemplary qualities, showcasing the enthusiasm and aspiration of the younger generation.

The fruits of hard work and training.

From the moment he entered Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, Nguyen Nhat Minh (currently a third-year student at the National Economics University) has strived and trained hard. For three consecutive years, Nhat Minh has consistently achieved the title of all-around excellent student, and each year he has won high awards in the provincial-level excellent student competition.

In addition, as a Youth Union Secretary, Minh was always a "leader," actively participating in youth movements. In 2014, while still a 12th-grade student, with excellent academic achievements and diligent self-improvement, Nhat Minh was mentored and admitted to the Party by the Party Branch of Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School. That same year, Nhat Minh passed the entrance exam to the National Economics University.

In his new environment, Nhat Minh continued to demonstrate the enthusiasm of youth, serving as an exemplary class leader in the Development Economics class while maintaining excellent academic performance. Recalling his early days as a Party member, Nhat Minh shared: “Joining the Party at such a young age was an honor and a major turning point in my life. Joining the Party made me more mature, but also increased my responsibilities. I always remind myself to constantly strive to be worthy of being a young Party member.”

As an active and responsible class leader with consistently high academic achievements, especially winning second prize in the provincial-level Literature competition for 12th-grade students, Nguyen Ha Vy is also one of the few exemplary young people who joined the Party while still a student at Le Hong Phong High School (Hung Nguyen) in 2014. Currently, she is both the class vice-president and a member of the Executive Committee of the Student Union, and the leader of the performing arts team of the Faculty of Literature - Vinh University. Energetic, proactive, and always at the forefront of Youth Union and Student Association activities, Vy has continuously received Certificates of Commendation from the University's Youth Union for outstanding performance in Youth Union work and youth movements.

Sergeant Nguyen Thi Nhu, currently working at the Nghi Thuy Ward Police Station in Cua Lo town, is also a young Party member who was admitted at Nghi Loc 3 High School. Speaking about her feelings upon joining the Party, Nhu said: “Being admitted to the Party while at a high school is an honor not everyone gets. Therefore, every young Party member must prioritize their responsibilities. They must strive to be worthy of the trust and expectations of their teachers and the older generations in the Party.”

It can be said that being admitted to the Party while in high school has become a driving force for the younger generation in their efforts, training, and growth, serving as a foundation for them to become good citizens for society.

Proactively generate resources.

In the work of developing Party members among students, the role of Party committees at all levels, especially school Party branches, is very important. This is because these are the places that create a source and select exemplary individuals to introduce to the Party. Mr. Ngo Xuan Phuc - Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch and Deputy Principal of Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School, said that in Party Congresses, the Party branch regularly issues resolutions on developing Party members from the student body.

Therefore, emphasis is placed on disseminating information to students in the school about the policy of recruiting young Party members and creating a favorable environment for them to contribute and grow. Even when students are in 11th grade, the school's Party branch has a plan to gradually educate and train students with excellent academic results to meet the standards and conditions for Party membership.

Each school year, the Party branch reviews eligible students to develop a plan for monitoring and assisting them, and to determine their goals for joining the Party. "In addition to the standards and conditions for Party membership as stipulated in the Party Charter, the criteria for students of Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School to be admitted are: achieving the title of excellent student at the provincial, national, or international level; and having a good sense of discipline."

"Among the criteria, we place a strong emphasis on political qualities, moral conduct, and exemplary behavior. After being selected to attend Party orientation classes, these students will be assigned responsibilities in the school's special task forces, creating an environment for them to demonstrate their character and responsibility towards the school and society," said teacher Ngo Xuan Phuc.

Every year, the Party Branch of Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School exceeds its target of admitting 10 students into the Party. In the 2016-2017 school year alone, the Party Branch had 27 students participating in the Party membership training course.

At Nghi Loc 3 High School, understanding the spirit and principles of the campaign "Youth Union members strive to become members of the Communist Party of Vietnam," the school's Party committee always pays attention to the work of developing young Party members in the school. Specifically, on average, the school admits 3 students into the Party each year. Recognizing that, in addition to "hard" criteria such as excellent academic results and good moral awareness, young Party members also need comprehensive development skills, the school's Party branch has assigned the Youth Union the task of monitoring and assisting outstanding Youth Union members with outstanding achievements in the movements launched by the Youth Union.

Mr. Tran Trung Kien, Secretary of the Youth Union of Nghi Loc 3 High School, said: “Right at the Youth Union Congress, the Executive Committee set out specific development directions and targets. Accordingly, it directed the branches to directly raise the issue of striving to join the Party for students. Through various forms of propaganda, the school's Youth Union contributes to raising awareness about the Party among young union members, thereby helping them identify the ideal goals of youth and have the right motivation to strive to become Party members.”

In high schools, to be considered for Party membership, students are evaluated based on many factors such as academic achievements, discipline, moral character, ideology, participation in extracurricular activities, etc. Naturally, with such strict conditions, many students find it difficult just thinking about it and lack the confidence to try.

Based on her own experience, former student Nguyen Thi Nhu shared: "To be admitted into the Party, every young person needs to persevere and enthusiastically contribute." Young Party member Nguyen Nhat Minh confided: "For now, I will try my best to study well, participate actively, and constantly strive to improve, contributing my youthful energy and intellect to building my homeland and country. I think that's also a way to contribute to the Party."

For young Party members like Nhat Minh, Nguyen Thi Nhu..., the road ahead is still very long. We believe that with their youth, intelligence, and inherent abilities, these "red seeds" will become good citizens and officials, wholeheartedly serving the country and the people.
