April 7, 2017 15:14

(Baonghean) - Most of the party members who were admitted while still in school have promoted exemplary pioneering qualities, demonstrating the enthusiasm and will to rise of the young generation.

In recent years, the number of Party members who are high school students has increased in both “quality” and “quantity”. Most of the Party members who were admitted while still in school have promoted exemplary pioneering qualities, demonstrating the enthusiasm and will to rise of the young generation.

Results of efforts and training

Right from the moment he entered Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, Nguyen Nhat Minh (currently a third-year student at the National Economics University) has strived and trained hard. For three consecutive years, Nhat Minh has always achieved the title of an excellent student, and every year he has achieved high results in the provincial excellent student competition.

Besides, as a Youth Union Secretary, Minh is always the “locomotive”, actively participating in youth movements. In 2014, when he was a 12th grader, with good academic performance and hard work, Nhat Minh was trained by the Party Cell of Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted and admitted to the Party. That year, Nhat Minh passed the entrance exam to the National Economics University.

In the new environment, Nhat Minh continued to promote the enthusiasm of youth, being an exemplary class monitor of the Development Economics class while maintaining good academic performance. Recalling the early days of becoming a Party member, Nhat Minh confided: “Being able to join the Party at a very young age was an honor and also a major turning point in my life. Joining the Party, I felt more mature but also had greater responsibilities. I always told myself that I had to constantly strive to be worthy of being a young Party member.”

As an active and responsible class monitor, always achieving high academic results, especially winning the second prize in the provincial Literature competition for grade 12, Nguyen Ha Vy is also one of the few outstanding young examples to be in the Party ranks when she was a student at Le Hong Phong High School (Hung Nguyen) in 2014. Currently, she is both a deputy class monitor and a member of the Executive Committee of the Youth Union, and the Captain of the Shock Art Team of the Faculty of Literature - Vinh University. Energetic, proactive, always taking the lead in the work of the Youth Union and Association, Vy continuously receives Certificates of Merit from the School Youth Union for her excellent performance in the work of the Youth Union and youth movements.

Sergeant Nguyen Thi Nhu, currently working at Nghi Thuy Ward Police, Cua Lo Town, is also a young party member admitted at Nghi Loc 3 High School. Talking about her feelings when joining the Party, Nhu said: “Being admitted to the Party in high school is an honor that not everyone has. Therefore, each young party member needs to put the responsibility of a party member above all else. What must we do to be worthy of the trust and love of teachers and previous generations in the Party's ranks?”

It can be said that being admitted to the Party in high school has become a motivation for the young generation in the process of striving, training, and maturing, and is a provision for them to become good citizens for society.

Proactively generate resources

In the work of developing student party members, the role of Party committees at all levels, especially school party cells, plays a very important role. Because this is where the source is created and typical factors are selected to introduce to the Party. Mr. Ngo Xuan Phuc - Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell, Vice Principal of Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted said that during the Congresses, the Party Cell regularly issues Resolutions on developing the Party from the student block.

Therefore, we focus on propagating to students in the school about the policy of admitting young Party members and creating a favorable environment for them to contribute and mature. As soon as the students are in grade 11, the school's Party cell has a plan to gradually educate and train students with excellent academic results to meet the standards and conditions for Party admission.

Every school year, the Party cell reviews qualified students to develop a plan to monitor, support, and determine their goals for joining the Party. “In addition to the standards and conditions for admission to the Party as prescribed by the Party Charter, the criteria for students from Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted to be admitted are: achieving the title of excellent student at the provincial, national, and international levels; having a good sense of discipline.

Among the criteria, we pay much attention to political qualities, lifestyle ethics, and exemplary behavior. After being selected to attend Party sympathy classes, these students will be assigned responsibilities in the school's special shock troops, in order to create an environment for them to affirm their mettle and responsibility towards the school and society," said Mr. Ngo Xuan Phuc.

Every year, the Party Cell of Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted exceeds its target of admitting 10 students into the Party. In the 2016-2017 school year alone, the Party Cell had 27 students attend the Party admission training class.

At Nghi Loc 3 High School, grasping the spirit and policy of the movement "Youth Union members strive to become members of the Communist Party of Vietnam", the school's Party Committee always pays attention to the work of developing young Party members in schools. Specifically, on average, the school admits 3 students into the Party every year. Realizing that, in addition to "hard" criteria such as excellent academic results and good moral awareness, young Party members are also required to have comprehensive development skills. The school's Party cell has assigned the School Youth Union the task of monitoring and helping outstanding Union members with outstanding achievements in movements launched by the School Youth Union.

Mr. Tran Trung Kien - Secretary of the Youth Union of Nghi Loc 3 High School said: “Right at the Youth Union Congress, the Executive Committee gave specific development orientations and targets. Accordingly, the Youth Union branches were directed to directly raise the issue of striving to join the Party for students. Through many forms of propaganda, the School Youth Union contributes to raising awareness of the Party for young union members, thereby helping them identify the ideal goals of youth, and have the right motivation to strive to become Party members”.

In high schools, to be considered for party membership, students are considered based on many factors such as academic performance, sense of discipline, moral training, ideology, participation in extracurricular activities... Obviously, with such strict conditions, many students just think it is difficult, not confident enough to try.

From her own experience, former student Nguyen Thi Nhu shared: “To be able to join the Party, each young person needs to persevere and enthusiastically contribute.” Young party member Nguyen Nhat Minh confided: “In the immediate future, I will try to study well, work well and constantly strive to improve, contributing my youth and intelligence to build my homeland and country. I think that is also a way to contribute to the Party.”

For young party members like Nhat Minh, Nguyen Thi Nhu..., the road ahead will be very long. I believe that with their youth, intelligence and inherent abilities, these "red seeds" will become good citizens and cadres, wholeheartedly serving the country and the people.
