Connecting product supply and demand between Nghe An province and Lam Dong province.
On the morning of June 4th, a conference to connect businesses and expand markets for products between Nghe An and Lam Dong provinces took place in Vinh City.
Attending the conference were Mr. Pham Van Hoa - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Nghe An province and Mr. Hoang Trong Hien - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Lam Dong province, along with their delegation. Also present were numerous businesses and distributors from Nghe An and Lam Dong provinces, who came to explore the market and strengthen cooperation and exchange.
In recent times, Nghe An province has effectively implemented trade promotion policies, supporting businesses in expanding their consumer markets and strengthening supply-demand connections. Domestic and export trade promotion activities have also been implemented, such as: organizing business delegations to participate in trade fairs and connecting supply and demand in Australia, New Zealand, Cambodia, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, etc.; regularly organizing working conferences with trade attachés abroad: the United States, South Korea, India, New Zealand, China...
To date, Nghe An has 567 OCOP products, ranking second nationwide in the number of OCOP products recognized with star ratings. Of these, 529 products have achieved 3 stars, 37 products 4 stars, and 1 product 5 stars. In addition, 122 outstanding rural industrial products have been recognized at the provincial level. Many rural industrial products have been exported to demanding markets, such as fine art wood products, fish sauce, various types of fish, rattan and bamboo weaving, and brocade fabrics.
Nghe An and Lam Dong provinces have established numerous supply-demand connections between the two provinces. Currently, some products from Lam Dong province are available in the Nghe An market, such as coffee, fruits, artichoke tea, wine, and other agricultural products… however, the quantities are still modest.
At the conference, manufacturers and distributors from both sides visited product display booths, explored business connections, and discussed market development.
To enhance cooperation and explore markets for businesses, especially OCOP products and rural industries of the two provinces, at the conference, the Director of the Nghe An Department of Industry and Trade, Pham Van Hoa, suggested that distributors in Nghe An province should research and access high-quality agricultural products, OCOP products, and processed products from Lam Dong province to consider incorporating them into their distribution chains. Businesses exchanged ideas and provided feedback on production processes, quality, design, etc., to further improve their products and integrate them into Nghe An province's modern distribution system.

We propose that the Department of Industry and Trade of Lam Dong province, along with businesses, strengthen their efforts to understand the market and products of Nghe An province; and support businesses in the province to participate in the supply chains of Lam Dong province.
The Director of the Nghe An Department of Industry and Trade, Pham Van Hoa, assigned the Center for Industry and Trade Support and Development to act as the focal point, compiling the needs and strengths of Nghe An province's products to support businesses in expanding their markets in Lam Dong province.
At the conference, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the two departments and businesses of Nghe An and Lam Dong provinces.
