(Baonghean.vn) - The Ban Vang dam in Tien Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, broke on the afternoon of September 15th. Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with a working group, were present to directly supervise the khắc phục sự cố (rectification of the incident).

Around 4 PM on September 15th in Tien Thanh commune (Yen ThanhThe Ban Vang dam (which has a capacity of nearly 0.1 million m³) has collapsed.3) is managed by the local authorities.
Immediately after the incident occurred, Comrade Phan Van Tuyen - Chairman of the Yen Thanh District People's Committee - directed the mobilization of over 150 local "four-on-the-spot" forces, along with the district's army, police, and equipment, to address the problem.

Also on the evening of September 15th, Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with a working group, was present at the scene to directly direct the khắc phục sự cố (rectification of the incident).
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee instructed the construction unit to immediately implement technical measures such as using sandbags to fill the broken section of the dam body, then combining them with boulders and soil to continue filling it.

According to a report from the People's Committee of Tien Thanh commune, the Ban Vang dam was built over 40 years ago, mainly using manual earthwork, so the dam body is weak and urgently needs investment for upgrading in the long term.
